Biodegradable And Compostible Cell Phone Covers
Biodegradable & compostible mobile phone cases are not a new item. Several less known makers have manufactured cases from old skateboards, wood, straw, bamboo, cork, & recycled fishing nets. And even major smart phone case brand the company known as Zagg sells covers built out of reused plastic. However now the company Incipio joining the company, Zagg,, it appears that this eco friendly trend is going to get more accepted.
Incipio’s new cases are manufactured from a plant based material named Organicore, and is expected to biodegrade in as little as half a year in an industrial strength compost setting. These compost locations can be diffucult to find, however, and compostable & biodegradable plastic known as bioplastics can only bio-degrade if deposited in an appropriate facility environments. The case’s packaging is completely recyclable & uses water-based ink that is also said to be biodegradable.
The cases are for sale right now for nearly $79.99 & are designed for the Apple iPhone 11, Apple's iPhone 11 Pro, and Apple's iPhone 11 Pro Max. They're made in black, deep pine, green, grey, and beige. The cases are able to cop a two metre drop & support qi charging.
Incipio plans on making similar biodegradable and compostible covers for other phones, devices, and Apple's AirPods later in the year.
